Be safe when using the BBQ grill this spring...

    Keep a few safety tips in mind when using your BBQ grill this spring. 
1. Inspect your equipment for leaks if you use a propane grill.
2. It is recommended that you keep your grill a minimum of ten feet away from a building when in use.
3. It is recommended not to use your grill inside a building
4. Shut off the propane at the tank when done cooking.
5. If a fire starts due to a grill malfunction dial 911.
    Hope your season if grilling is safe and satisfying for everyone.

    Did you call Fire Control 539-9241 or 869-3721 before burning your brush and debris?  If you didn't and the Fire Department is sent to your fire it will be extinguished.  Take the time and call it in!

    Varick and Romulus enter into a Automatic Mutual aide agreement...

    The Varick and Romulus Fire Departments have entered into a mutual aid agreement that is the first of it's kind in Seneca County.  
    The agreement requests the other departments assistance for all calls during "daytime business hours" when volunteer staffing is critically low.  There are two exceptions to this agreement; EMS/ Ambulance Assistance and
Fire Alarms at Hillside Children Center
    This agreement demonstrates the commitment by both departments to fulfill there obligation to provide a quality service to the community they serve.
